Dear Indra,

The recent violence in Ukraine has claimed the lives of dozens, many of them young. But some of the ammunition being used to slaughter Ukrainian people isn't made in the country -- it was manufactured overseas, including in Switzerland.

In the past, the neutral Switzerland has had a strict policy against the sale of military weapons to countries with questionable human rights records. But now, Parliament has decided to weaken those export requirements, meaning that Swiss-manufactured bullets and guns may be used to massacre people all around the globe.

Those in favor of weakening the requirements say the rules don't "bring peace to the world." The fact is, however, that by equipping other countries with the tools for oppression, Switzerland is effectively allowing t hem to raise the level of violence within their nations. The key to promoting peace is to take weapons out of the equation as much as possible, not give up entirely.

Tell Switzerland's Parliament not to give oppressive nations the tools to murder their citizens!
