China, Protect Sex Workers from Abuse

it helps!

Dear Indra,

There are 4 to 6 million sex workers in China, the vast majority of them women. And because the government won't protect them, they are facing terrible violence with no help.

Human rights groups report that when sex workers go to the police to report crimes committed against them by clients and bosses, the police often refuse to investigate.

Even more horrifying, organizations have documented terrible abuse by the police themselves. Officers have been caught torturing, beating, and physically assaulting sex workers. They face little to no consequences.

China cannot continue to treat sex workers as if they don't deserve basic human rights. Demand protection for sex workers in China today!
