| action alert! Animals at the Surabaya Zoo in Indonesia are starving, neglected, and abused. An opportunity is coming that could save these animals - with your help! Dear Indra,
The Surabaya Zoo is obviously incapable of properly caring for its animals, as so many have died from neglect, unnecessary illness, and more. Now, the government may take over the zoo. If it does, proper action must be taken to ensure these animals are finally cared for!
Tell the Surabaya governor to help the animals at the Surabaya Zoo.
The motive behind the government's desire to acquire the zoo's land is money - but that doesn't mean good can't come from this situation. The sale of the zoo's land to the government could be an opportune moment to finally give these animals the care they deserve. We're urging the government to either find proper, educated caretakers for the zoo's animals or, if the zoo closes once the government buys the land, find new homes for the animals where they can be cared for.
The horrific stories of animals suffering at the Surabaya Zoo need to stop once and for all. Speak out on behalf of the animals at the Surabaya Zoo!
