Apollo the dog tried to flee to safety, but his poor emaciated body didn't get far

His previous owner tied him up outside and left him there while he slowly starved to death. Starving Dog Managed to Escape, Only to Collapse on the Side of the Road and Die Later Sign Now    Indra,   Apollo the dog just wanted to live. In fact, he had such a zest and a spark for life that he actively fought to get away from a dangerously negligent situation — only to still pass away anyway. His owner had apparently tied him up outside and simply left him there, for an unknown period of time. It was long enough that eventually he was on the verge of starvation. In a final effort to find health and freedom, he miraculously managed to break away. The poor pup tried to run towards a better life, but he was so badly emaciated, he couldn't get very far. He made it to the side of the road before falling over and collapsing into a ditch. A caring passerby noticed Apollo lying by the road and called rescue authorities. A veterinary technician took him in as her own and fostered him, providing 24-hour care for the sickly animal. Unfortunately, though, he wasn't able to survive beyond another week. His former owner has been found and charged with animal abuse. We must make sure to also keep other animals safe from this person and ban them from animal ownership!
