Our forests should be protected. Trump wants them logged and torn apart.

58 million acres could be ruined forever. The Trump Administration Wants to Plunder Millions of Acres of Protected Forests. Wildlife and Wild Places Are at Risk!      Sign Now      Indra,   Imagine a bear with no forest to live in. A bald eagle with no tall trees to nest in. Salmon with no clean rivers to swim through. That's what's at risk if the Trump administration gets its way. Since 2001, the "roadless rule" has protected nearly 60 million acres of wild forest in the U.S. from road construction, logging, drilling, and mining. These lands are full of life — like ancient old-growth trees, black bears, wolves, and thousands of other species of plants and animals. These forests are also essential in the fight against climate change. But that's all being threatened by a shameful, greedy decision by the Trump administration to repeal the "roadless rule" and let development industries strip these precious lands of all they have. Companies could soon be cutting down centuries-old trees, destroying animal homes, and polluting clean rivers. We wouldn't be losing just trees — we'd be losing entire ecosystems.   Future generations would lose the chance to experience untouched nature. Not to mention this would remove some of the best protections we have against climate catastrophe! Congress has the power to stop this. They can pass a new law to protect these forests for good, or they can use the Congressional Review Act to block this repeal. But they need to act now, before it's too late. Please sign this petition and tell Congress to protect our forests, our animals, our planet, and our future. Keep the roadless rule in place — forever! Thank you, Sophie Care2 Petitions Team P.S. The roadless rule has been keeping precious, wild U.S. forests protected. But of course, Trump wants to repeal it.
