Dear Indra,

Drug smuggling is and should be a crime. Nobody's disputing that. But sentencing a British grandmother to death by firing squad? That punishment goes way too far.

Human rights groups believe that British grandmother Lindsay Sandiford acted only as a "mule" and that she was exploited by people higher on the smuggling chain. What's more, Sandiford helped Indonesian police catch two other members of the smuggling ring -- and those members served only short prison sentences. Meanwhile, Sandiford will be killed by firing squad.

Sandiford's punishment should be comparable to other sentences for similar crimes in Indonesia. Ask Indonesia to spare her life today!
